On the morning of June 16, the 12th Shenzhen International Cross-Border E-Commerce Trade Expo and 2026 Shenzhen Foreign Trade Import & Export Fair officially opened at the Shenzhen Futian Exhibition & Convention Center. At the opening ceremony, the Shengshi Jubao Cross-Border Financial Services Platform and Hong Kong’s eCOM DataFin jointly held the “Shengshi Jubao and eCOM DataFin Cross-Border Financial Cooperation Launch Ceremony” on site, formally announcing their partnership.
The Shengshi Jubao Cross-Border Financial Services Platform was launched in 2024 by the Shenzhen Cross-Border E-Commerce Association (5A-rated), Jiangxi Financial Development Group (a state-owned enterprise), and Guangdong Xinyuanshu Technology. eCOM DataFin’s strategic investor and founder is Mr. Andy Tung, who previously served for many years as CEO of Orient Overseas Container Line (OOCL). A data-driven cross-border trade fintech platform, eCOM DataFin is headquartered in Singapore, with branches and offices in Hong Kong, Shanghai, Australia, and the Philippines. It provides digital trade and logistics financing to cargo owners, freight forwarders, and logistics companies. In the future, the two partners will combine their respective strengths to deliver financing solutions for Chinese cross-border enterprises expanding overseas, supporting the high-quality development of the cross-border e-commerce industry.
The launch ceremony was witnessed by a group of invited guests who joined on stage, including: Wang Xin, Executive Chairman of the Global Cross-Border E-Commerce Association and President of the Shenzhen Cross-Border E-Commerce Association; Feng Heng, China’s Special Envoy to the United Nations; Li Mingxing, Global Director of the World Trade Centers Association and Chairman of the Asia-Pacific World Trade & Business Alliance; Sun Chenwei, Vice President of the Purchasers Branch of the China General Chamber of Commerce; Zou Guoqing, Global CEO of Newegg; Xie Jianhua, Founding President of the US-China E-Commerce Trade Association; Peng Xinliang, Chairman of Jiangxi Financial Development Group; Mai Zhuo, Founder, Executive Director and CEO of eCOM DataFin and eCOM Registry ; Deng Yajun, Director of Hong Kong Aviation Investment Group Limited; Zhang Yining, Chairman of Guangdong Xinyuanshu Technology Co., Ltd.; Hou Haidong, Vice President of Jiangxi Financial Development Group; Zhao Xiaojuan, General Manager of the Shengshi Jubao Cross-Border Financial Services Platform; Li Jiming, General Manager of Guangdong Xinyuanshu Technology Co., Ltd.; Lu Haiping, Founder of Kuajing Bao; and Wang Weiyang, Deputy General Manager of Shenzhen CEC Investment Co., Ltd. Together, they took to the stage to formally witness the launch of the Shengshi Jubao and eCOM DataFin cross-border financial cooperation.
At the ceremony, Zhao Xiaojuan, General Manager of the Shengshi Jubao Cross-Border Financial Services Platform, gave a detailed introduction to both companies’ backgrounds, core business models and shareholder structures. She noted that as the cross-border e-commerce industry moves deeper into an era defined by compliance, localization and globalization, sellers today face a range of financing pain points: complex corporate structures with fragmented operating data, long payment-collection cycles that create heavy cash-advance pressure, and a poor fit with traditional credit products. International freight forwarders face their own challenges, including multi-entity operations with scattered data, imbalanced payment terms between upstream and downstream partners, and asset-light business models that leave them without collateral to offer lenders.
“To efficiently and securely address these financing pain points for cross-border e-commerce sellers and international freight forwarders,” Zhao said, “the Shengshi Jubao Cross-Border Financial Services Platform has teamed up with eCOM DataFin to design a new suite of financing products tailored for cross-border enterprises going global – including the Cargo-Controlled Financing and the Procurement Financing for e-commerce sellers, and Receivables Financing and Credit-based Lending for international freight forwarders. These products are designed to help Chinese cross-border e-commerce enterprises overcome hidden barriers to cross-border financing and expand overseas with confidence.”
Looking ahead, Shengshi Jubao will continue to focus on the cross-border e-commerce sector — pooling industry resources, driving financial innovation, and addressing the sector’s needs and pain points. Working alongside eCOM DataFin, it will continue developing new cross-border e-commerce financing products, support the industry’s healthy development, and help Chinese cross-border enterprises pursue their global strategy, contributing to the continued rise of Chinese manufacturing.
Following a group photo, the launch ceremony drew to a close — marking the successful conclusion of the “Shengshi Jubao Financial Platform x Hong Kong eCOM DataFin Cross-Border Financial Cooperation Launch Ceremony.”
